Valeria Carita Lupa

UPDATE: Valeria has graduated. Please check back soon for updates about her efforts.
Valeria is in her 5th year of Social Work studies at UMSA. “My parents were from the country. I grew up in the church, I always wanted to study, but I worked as a maid. I wanted to go to the Normal (teacher’s school) to study education, but there wasn’t enough money. I ended up in the streets after my job ran out with nowhere to go...I managed to make it into the U. I took the entrance exams and made it into the course.
I would like to work with society, to help. My town needs a lot of help; I’ll start in church then move on to the next.” Valeria wants to finish her studies. “I’m always asking for God’s help. He sent me the scholarship and I have faith He will continue to provide.” She is a member of INELA.
Valeria's studies are being sponsored by a group from Redwood Forest Friends Meeting. Contact us at office (at) bqef (dot) org if you or your meeting would like to sponsor a student.
