Rosa Poma Pillco

Originally interested in nursing, Rosa was inspired to improve the way of life for people living in her community. She is now in her 9th semester studying Agricultural Engineering at UPEA, where her favorite subject is Horticulture.

She was born in Suriquiña, where she was the youngest of 8 children. Her mother died when Rosa was very young. Rosa currently lives in El Alto with her older brother. In her free time, Rosa enjoys playing volleyball, visiting the Internet, and listening to country music. On weekends, she returns to Suriquiña to visit her father and attend an INELA church. Rosa's goals are to travel abroad and help the needy by understanding their experience.

Rosa has had a BQEF scholarship since 2005. Her studies are sponsored by Fredonia Monthly Meeting.
